Which might work better but would have worse consequences in special situations Surely you can install some slightly better solution but this is bypassed as well as everything else I ask you, if Huniepop made a webpage and asked 10 euros/dollars for a copy of a game (digital copy from their website, not on Steam) would you pay it? Or would you be like "naah, too much for such a simple game"? You can even fund the game completely by donations from kickstarter. How do you think games like Sims and Battlefield and others were sold before Origin, Steam, uPlay, GOG etc.? Sure, no one uses CDs anymore, but there are always ways of stuff reaching the consumer and taking their money from their wallets. And you can still order those books online and this way fund "propaganda makers". And I don't know any other genres that would be censored by government except some WW2 or mass murder by government related stuff in certain countries. So I really wouldn't be sad about Amazon stopping to sell book genre that I like. ![]() I buy them straight from the publisher of the writers. If Amazon stopped selling books that I read, oh wait. Which is VERY, very sad if you ask me - says loads about the target demographic, doesn't it? Explains modern anime too. It's only saving grace is that, from what I recall, the author did NOT want it to be that way and only included porn in the original Fate because "VNs had to have it" aka was forced by publishers. The Fate series also has VERY questionable designs, moments and content overall at this point the series is just chock-full of sexual pandering. It's shameful and a shame at the same time. Either be porn or don't, there is no in-between. Muv-Luv is garbage even if it has good writing, it is filled with actual fetish-fueled porn & dating-sim pandering to horny weebs and otakus - which in my eyes ruins it and takes away any legitimacy it has as a piece of (visual) literature. Steins Gate I've heard referenced as good, cannot comment on it. Not sure if I agree with your "I will fight it, because if I don't try to protect games I don't like, nobody will protect the ones I like." but I do respect the noble approach. I've noticed it touted as controversial but I have no idea why, as I have never seen any gameplay footage or done research about it. I didn't say anything about Kingdom Come: Deliverance because I know next to nothing about that game I've been going through a very weird period in the past few months - depression, crippling depression, starting the fight against depression, changing habits, starting to work out - and with all of that combined with my general focus on a few select games, I've missed out on a lot of things.Īll I know about KC:D is that it is an open-world, realistic game with a medieval setting. When they try to remove it from the steam store(and somebody will, sooner or later it, demand it), because is the "same racist fascist al-right pandering garbage tho" (that is what they will say) I will fight it, because if I don't try to protect games I don't like, nobody will protect the ones I like. You haven't answered my comment about Kingdom Come :Deliverance, so I will tell you what I will do. For all that is good in the world, you must play this game. The degree to which each of its components complement each other is unmatched in my experience, and anyone referring to Fate/Stay Night as anything less than a classic is doing it an extreme disservice. ![]() Despite my attempts to find something wrong with Fate/Stay Night the only negative things I can say about it are incredibly minor when compared to all the things it does right – and it does a whole lot of things right. An Excellent score is not one that I give out lightly – in fact, I try not to give them out at all. To be honest, I thought it would take a while longer for this day to come. yet on his first try, Nasu wrote a story that some may consider to be the best story he’s written, and in my eyes, it’s one of the better ones out there. When you think of doujin writing, you do not usually equate it with amazing. If you love strong storytelling, solid and realistic sci-fi, diverse and engaging characters, quite a bit of charming fanservice, and to be deeply engaged on the emotional level, you owe it to yourself to try the Muv-Luv trilogy out ![]() But even in a world with Back to the Future and Star Trek IV, I'd still say the most interesting, complex, and utterly captivating time travel narrative I have ever encountered is the visual novel Steins Gate. They are my favorite type of science fiction.
